-Harvey Steiman, Wine Spectator, February 2010.
“Herb Quady…is a winemaker to watch”
-Katherine Cole, The Oregonian, June 23rd 2009.
“Winemaker Herb Quady, is making big, serious stuff, even if, like a tree falling in the woods, you aren’t yet cognizant of what’s going on in this rarely covered part of the West Coast. “
-Randy Caparoso, Culinary Wine and Food Matching, September 2009.
“Southern Oregon Cabernet Franc may not be on your radar, but this bottle (2006 Quady North Cabernet Franc) suggests it should be.”

Portland Indie Wine Fest Review excerpt..."The Portland Indie Wine Festival is supposed to showcase small producer wines made in Oregon. But this year one guy snuck in from the state of jefferson. The 1190 KEX Grape Adventurer met the interloper."

"Surprisingly light and fresh for viognier, with ripe peaches on the nose and a mineral-laden palate that would pair well wih richer fish such as halibut or grouper." Katherine Cole, The Oregonian, June 23rd 2009
"Intense flavors jump from the glass, a head-turning swirl of papaya, mango, lime and grapefruit, etched with a little bitter rind and showing plenty of phenolic bite. the alcohol is under 13% and the acids really scream out for food." P.G. [12/15/2009] 91 points, Wine Enthusiast.
"Smooth and classy, the 2007 Quady North Viognier Steelhead Run Vineyard has a quarter of the blend fermented in 1 year old wood before being moved to stainless steel where it‟s kept on its lees for 8 months. The wine possesses fantastic, cool aromatics of lime, pineapple, flower oil, minerals and a subtle buttered bread note. These carry to a medium bodied wine that possesses a vibrant, rich texture, fresh acidity and a clean, long finish. This clocks in at 12.9% alcohol and is a superb white to drink over the next 3 to 5 years." (90 pts.) The Rhone Report, June 2010

"The 2007 Quady North Syrah 4-2, A is a blend of Syrah from the Serenade, Steelhead Run, Fly High (King Vineyard) and Sam's Valley Vineyard, and is aged in large, 98 gallon French oak barrels. It offers up spicy, lifted aromatics of dark fruits, bramble, dried flowers and spice. There good complexity as well as brightness to the aromas. In the mouth, the wine is medium bodied with a light, easy texture, fresh acidity, sweet, round fruit and fine, silky tannin on the finish. This should drink well over the next 5 to 8 years." Stellar Selection Northwest Palate
"An estate selection of the top lot of wine in each vintage, the ‟07 Syrah, the 2006 Quady North Syrah Flagship is a touch richer and deeper than the ‟07 Syrah and offers spice laden dark fruits, bramble, roasted meat, licorice and earth. These aromas and flavors carry over to the palate where the wine is medium to full bodied with stunning fruit, a superb, full and silky texture, perfect balance and a long, rich finish. The balance, texture and finish really make this wine shine and I think it will continue to drink well over the next 10 to 12 years." (91 pts.) The Rhone Report, June 2010

"Arsenal is a Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc blend, supple and fruity. There are light acids and ripe tannins, along with pretty black fruits and surprising softness in the midpalate, which makes it immediately accessible." P.G. [12/15/2009] - 89 points, Wine Enthusiast
